Total EclipseSTORY / GAMEPLAY
The game's story is set somewhere in 2099. An alien nation called "Drak Sai" set off their dark plan to initially attack Earth and later destroy the whole Solar System. You are a skilled pilot of the Earth's forces and with your Fire Wing spaceship you fly to counterattack the alien swarms and protect Earth and the whole System. The space fights are tough but fortunately you can collect power ups to make your weapons stronger (up to 3 levels more power). Total Eclipse is technically great but it gets frustratingly difficult after a while.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The game is designed with 3D texture mapping and has good looking (though a bit dark) backgrounds, enemy spacecrafts and some impressive visual effects like huge explosions and more. The animation and action are fast in a way that some times is too hard to avoid obstacles! Comparably, Total Eclipse is exactly the same in both 3DO and Playstation consoles (though the latter is a more advanced gaming machine). The game's sound is awesome too and features a hard rock style music score accompanied by stereophonic, Sci-Fi sound effects.
